My Morning Jacket

One of the many great bands Schubas has enjoyed the pleasure of supporting throughout a slow rise to widespread notoriety, My Morning Jacket opened their first show with us in November of 2001, while touring in support of their second album, At Dawn. They returned twice in 2002 to headline some of the greatest rock shows Schubas has ever hosted, providing those in attendance at their gig on June 30th of that year the undying memory of being blown away by a Black Sabbath cover, the icing on the cake of an incredible show. Though their popularity has since exceeded our capacity, we hosted a listening party for their live album Okonokos in 2006, and vocalist/guitarist Jim James still pays us a visit when he comes through Chicago.
