05-21-2012 Fools Gold

Fool’s Gold was originally formed in Los Angeles by Lewis Pesacov and Luke Top as a large open-ended collective, at times ranging between 12-15 membersAfter many tours following the release of their self-titled debut (2009), the once sizeable collective organically evolved into a tight-knit five-member “Band,” featuring vocalist/bassist Luke Top, guitarist Lewis Pesacov, drummer Garrett Ray, multi-instrumentalist Brad Caulkins, and percussionist Salvador Placencia. Confident, focused and much more personal, this new line-up allowed for the dynamic of the group to blossom, redefining and sculpting their sound for the sophomore LP: Leave No Trace.

05-22-2012 Neulore and Audrey Assad

Neulore was formed in Nashville, TN in the Autumn of 2009 by Adam Agin (lead vocals & guitar), William T. Cook (guitar & bgvs), and Dan Eggenschwiler (drums & bgvs) to tell stories of hope. After releasing a well-crafted EP, “Apples & Eve”, they have begun to take their heartfelt songs to the masses. With a live show that not only entertains, but affects, leaving the audience with a sense that anything is possible, Neulore is captivating the hearts of all who draw near. Describing their sound as “truth in modern tones” and boldly stating that “the new folk music has arrived” they are firmly rooted in the tradition of community, the pursuit of wisdom, and the telling of timeless stories from a fresh perspective.

Audrey Assad didn’t find a title for her new album, Heart, so much as the title found her. Scanning scribbled lyric sheets backstage one night, the Nashville singer-songwriter was struck by a message she didn’t fully realize she was sending.

“I saw 'heart' just popping, popping, popping from the lines,” she says. “I erased 'heart' and rewrote it in red everywhere that it appeared. That was such a striking image to me: This is what I have to say right now.”
