Deadstockaudio has been creating a ripple effect throughout the Chicago music scene for nearly 2 years. Now with their self-titled debut album slated for February of 2009, they are ready to bring their addictive melodies and heartfelt lyrics to the masses. In it's infancy, DSA was simply an idea shared by two close friends, David Avram and Adam Gardner. "We had been writing tunes since high school, but nothing ever really materialized" says Avram. "But in early 06, we seriously sat down and cracked out some decent compositions." It was around this time that Gardner ran into Nate Greene, a gifted drummer he knew from his college days at Northern Illinois University. The three got together and the music gelled immediately. A combination of creative chord changes, butt-shaking grooves, and catchy melodies seemed to force DSA into expanding their sonic footprint. Jeremy Bieber was a perfect fit on guitar. Bieber and Greene had been playing together for years. "When we first began looking for a guitar player, my first thought was Jeremy. He has it all . . . tone, ability, sensitivity" Greene admits. The band had gone from a far off idea to a formidable creative force in a matter of a few short months. Having already played at some of Chicago's premier venues including the Metro, Double Door, and Martyr's, DSA seems poised to expand their dynamic and growing fan base to new heights. The band plans to launch a Midwest tour starting in March to both promote the new CD and to continue to satisfy their lust for the musical exploration that has made DSA such a sought after live act. .. ..
