There are those that have been waiting 4 years for the debut album from Bear Hands. Since the band’s inception in 2006 fans have wanted to take home what they fell in love with seeing them live. Burning Bush Supper Club is that album. Between that first show and now repeat tours with Passion Pit (who personally invited them on the road), over 175 headlining shows and additional support slots in the UK and US with the likes of MGMT, Vampire Weekend and Manic Street Preachers have kept the band’s iCal full. The last two years alone saw them perform at CMJ, SXSW, Reading & Leeds Festivals, RockNess and Siren Fest. And Bear Hands haven’t been complete strangers to the studio – 2007 saw the release of a four-track EP Golden and last year the “What A Drag” 7” was made available.

Waiting to record and release Burning Bush Supper Club has not been without its benefits. The time has allowed Bear Hands to amass an incredible following among critics and “the kids” alike as well as make exactly the album they wanted to make. Although they’ve been on the radar for a while now, Bear Hands refuse to be rushed into crash-and-burn status by the hype machine. “This is our first album, so we wanted to focus on the details and not put anything out that we weren’t completely satisfied with,” says frontman Dylan.
